Welcome to the Home Health Aide Training Program!

The HHA Training Program is a guided course for your organization to train and certify new Home Health Aides as efficiently as possible. Completion of this program meets both CMS and PASSPORT requirements for Home Health Aide Training and Education.

This 16-Hour HHA Live Training Session requires the following before participation:

• Onboarding:  The employing agency must complete the HHA Program onboarding form. Only one completed form is required per agency and will be applied to subsequent students entering the program.

• Coursework:  Students must complete the prerequisite 44.1 hours of online RCTC coursework. HHA students may not participate in the 16 hours of live instruction until they have completed all of the designated RCTC courses and passed the quizzes at the end of each course. Students are advised to either register for the HHA Live Training Session after coursework completion or select a date that allows for enough time to complete it. RCTC online content is available to active OCHCH members at no additional cost.

Registration

To allow adequate time for course preparations, registration closes at 10 am on the business day before each session.

We recommend an agency staff member complete the registration for their students. Begin the registration process with your work email address on file with OCHCH to activate member pricing. Registration will match you with your member agency and apply appropriate pricing. Contact us if this is not performing as expected. The students you register do not have to have a work email address.

By registering for this event you attest your understanding of, and agreement to, the following statements:

• Registrations at Member or HHA Training Pass pricing require an active Membership or Pass at the time of the event. If either have lapsed or been deactivated prior to the start of the event, the attendee must re-register at the appropriate rate or reactivate their Membership or Pass to retain special pricing.

• Our organization understands that verified completion of the relevant online RCTC coursework is required prior to participation in the OCHCH HHA Training course. Students will not be admitted to a session if it is determined that this coursework is incomplete. Rescheduling is allowed on a case by case basis, and cannot be guaranteed. Students are advised to register for an HHA Training date that allows for enough time to complete the RCTC coursework.

• To allow adequate time for course preparations, registration closes two business days before each session. In some circumstances we can accept last minute registrations by direct email, however this cannot be guaranteed.

• Regarding cancellations, we require a two business day notice for the same reasons. If we have sufficient notice, we can reschedule your student to a future date without rebilling.

• The HHA Training Course is 16 hours across two 8-hour days. Students must attend both days for the full 8 hours without distraction or interruption. If a student cannot attend both days fully, back to back, they need to schedule for another complete course. Partial "make-ups" are not possible.

• Refunds will not be provided if a student chooses to not complete the course or does not attend their scheduled session. OCHCH reserves the right to terminate a student's session if it becomes clear they are not dedicating their time to the class - such as (but not limited to) remaining off-camera, engaged in other activities such as driving, working, socializing, etc.
