Program Summary

Home Health Patient-Driven Groupings Model changes removed rehab from the Home Health reimbursement formula, where therapy visit totals were the primary payment factor under PPS.

Many Home Health Providers lack insight into how the PDGM protocol delineates rehab volumes, failing to employ the Functional Impairment Level (FIL) to guide therapy programming. In addition, recent Home Health Rehab-based denials and application of regulatory coverage limits often clash with contemporary therapy care.
